Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Plant Manager to set management directions in accordance with the corporate plans to achieve financial goals and increase operating as well as revenue performance;
  • Provide strategic leadership in developing and implementing goals, objectives, operating budgets and business strategies relating to the operations of the Station Combined Cycle Power Plants;
  • Keep up to date of relevant regulatory and market policy changes and be able to adjust operations strategy to ensure compliance of the Company to local laws and regulatory requirements of the business environment;
  • Primarily responsible for management of the Station’s power generation operations and the development of the competency of the staff to ensure that the operations are safe, reliable, efficient and in compliant to all relevant regulatory requirements;
  • Developing and maintaining good team work. Strengthen retention of key operation staff and succession planning;
  • Take charge of major project development and participate in procurement and inventory management;
  • Involves in the decision-making of major issues in production and operation of TPG;
  • Communicate and explain policies and engage other functional departments to strengthen inter- department relationship and foster team spirit;
  • Develop, direct and motivate a competent and cohesive team through effective communication, delegation of responsibility, accountability, and professional development;
  • Support and be exemplary in maintaining a healthy corporate culture that encourages open communication, values quality performance and excellence, recognizes and develops talents;
  • Review staff development program developed by the department and make it relevant and effective in upgrading the technical skills and hence competency of the staff in the irrespective tasks;
  • Enforce the requirements that staff in leading positions keep abreast with latest technology and upgrade their operational and technical knowledge for upgrading purpose through learning, projects, training, conferences and exchange programs.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in engineering with 5 years’ experience in a senior management position in a power plant; Engaged in power plant production, operation and management for more than 10 years, with strong experience in combined cycle power plant production, operation and management;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the value drivers and management of power plants with ability to deal with complex situations requiring the assessment of priorities under pressure;
  • Effective safety leadership to set the tone within the organization and place a high priority on safety, with a continual emphasis on driving and maintaining an effective safety culture;
  • Good communication skills to be effective at conveying ideas, direction and expectations to motivate the teams and manage projects and the ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government, customers and vendors.
