Product Development & Project Manager (FMCG)
Who we’re looking for / The role
We are looking for a high-potential, driven individual to manage the execution of new product development (NPD) projects while extending their impact into product commercial planning and strategic product innovation. This role will be 80% executional (NPD project management) and 20% strategic (working with Founder’s Office to develop product business case, market analysis and feedback and product roadmapping).
This role requires strong project leadership, internal and external storage collaboration, and a sharp ability to ensure alignment between product strategy, brand, commercial and sales needs, and supply chain realities. A highly cross-functional role whose impact will be felt by not only internal stakeholders, but all the way through to end consumers.
The ideal candidate is an organized, resourceful problem-solver who thrives in fast-moving environments, and has a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Someone who is obsessed about product details, and would not hesitate to dive in and “get things done”.
The Project Manager, NPD will be responsible for:
- New Product Development (NPD) – Driving the process from concept to launch across all markets.
- Product Improvement & Iteration – Leading the refinement and evolution of existing products based on feedback, data, and competitive benchmarking.
- Promo Packs & Bundles – Ensuring seamless execution of promotional packs and special bundle projects that align with commercial strategies.
- Swag & Brand Merchandise – Managing the development of branded merchandise to enhance brand engagement and visibility.

- Proactively problem-solve and de-bottleneck key project hurdles.
- Founders’ Office: Work closely with founders and strategy teams to align on commercial product strategy.
- Brand & Marketing: Partner with marketing on packaging design, claims, and positioning to ensure brand consistency and front panel effectiveness at shelf.
- Retail Sales Teams: Incorporate insights from key retailers and sales teams to optimize listings and trade viability.
- Sourcing & Production: Work with supply chain and factories to ensure efficient sourcing, feasibility assessment, and production execution.
- Technical Development: Collaborate with both in-house persons and external suppliers to define technical specifications, iterate on formulas/materials, and fast-track sample development.
Timeline & Executional Discipline (20%)
- Set clear product launch and go-to-market deadlines across all initiatives.
- Own project calendars and work backward from retail launch targets to ensure execution discipline.
- Track risk areas proactively and escalate where necessary to keep timelines on track.
Rapid Prototyping, Sampling & Validation (10%)
- Ensure quick turnaround of prototypes and samples for internal evaluation and retailer feedback.
- Facilitate pre-production sampling to validate quality before final production.
- Manage pilot production runs and test market launches where needed.
Commercial and Innovation Planning and Iteration (20%)
- Work with the Founder’s Office to develop business cases for new products, evaluating market potential, consumer feedback, pricing strategy and growth roadmap
- Conduct market research and consumer insights analysis to identify trends and inform product innovation decisions.
- Support long-term product strategy planning, ensuring innovation aligns with brand growth and regional market expansion.
- Collaborate with marketing & sales teams to translate NPD efforts into go-to-market strategies and retail positioning.
- Identify and propose new growth opportunities, including adjacent categories, packaging innovations, and bundling strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in project management, ideally within FMCG, consumer brands, or product development.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Understanding of end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
- Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers, and sourcing teams.
