- This is a health insurance transformation project
- Ideal profiles will have program management, transformation, & delivery experience with expertise in new product propositions
Project Overview
Our client, a leading global insurer, is launching a new health proposition as part of a strategic focus to actively build out this business line. They will be targeting a high value client base — positioned just below the high-net-worth segment. The new offerings will be distributed through existing agency and bancassurance channels.
The program will initially focus on Singapore, HK and Malaysia, with plans to expand into four to six markets across Southeast Asia within 24 months. Given the complexity of the initiative, they require a skilled program manager with a health insurance background to lead the effort in bringing the new proposition to market. The role will be responsible for connecting different workstreams, managing senior stakeholders and ensuring alignment across the organisation.
What you will be doing
- Leading the program execution to bring the new health proposition to market across multiple Southeast Asian markets
- Driving day-to-day program management by connecting different workstreams and ensuring alignment, addressing gaps where strategic execution is lacking
- Managing senior-level stakeholders, including executive sponsors and governance committees, ensuring strategic objectives are met and decisions are escalated efficiently
- Working closely with local business units (LBUs) to integrate the new proposition while addressing capability gaps and resistance
- Assessing different implementation models, including full operating model build-out, partnerships with TPAs, or tech acquisitions
- Overseeing multiple RFI/RFP processes in parallel, evaluating different market options for execution
- Providing leadership in program execution, while determining how to best structure and repurpose internal resources for program support
- Ensuring program alignment with existing governance structures and maintaining visibility at the senior executive level
- Supporting the development of a business case to secure future funding need
Your background
- Experience in program management, transformation, and delivery within health insurance
- Strong track record of bringing new health propositions to market or leading large-scale transformation programs in insurance or financial services
- Experience working in Southeast Asia or similar markets, with knowledge of insurance distribution models (agency, bancassurance, etc.)
- Ability to manage executive stakeholders and present to C-level decision-makers confidently
- Hands-on experience in navigating federated organizations and overcoming internal resistance to change
- Execution-focused, able to drive the program forward in a complex organisational environment
- Experience supporting business case development and navigating governence structures to secure funding approvals
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 12 months
- Work Model: Full-time, on-site in SG/HK/MY
- Budget: 700 - 900 USD/day (all-inclusive)
