Senior Investment Analyst / Deputy Investment Manager

The Senior Investment Analyst / Deputy Investment Manager is responsible for supporting the management of our company's investment portfolio, consisting mainly of fund investments in public equities, fixed income, hedge funds and private markets. They will also be a part of the company’s corporate venture capital unit that is looking to invest in niched technology start-ups. As this is a relatively new business division within the company, there will be significant growth opportunities for the right candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Investment analysis
- Evaluate opportunities across numerous asset classes
- Conducting industry and market research related to investment opportunities
- Sourcing and due diligence of public and private fund investments
- Sourcing and due diligence of direct investments into niched tech start-ups
- Compiling investment policies, summary reports and recommendations
Portfolio management
- Assist in the management of a multi-asset investment portfolio
- Assisting with day-to-day portfolio monitoring and investment execution
- Providing input on strategic and tactical asset allocation
- Liaising with counterparties, investment advisors and the finance team
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
Management Reporting
- Assist in the reporting process
- Preparing performance reports
- Preparation of meeting materials for internal stakeholders
Skills and Requirements
- Degree holder, with a preference for Finance/Business/Accounting/Mathematics degrees or working towards a financial qualification such as CFA/CAIA
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience as an investment professional, with a preference for experience within public markets, private markets, asset management, family office or investment consulting.
