Your new role

Below are some of the key responsibilities for the role;

  • Spearhead technical assignments in research, design, and development of electrical hardware products, encompassing electromechanical devices, components, and systems.
  • Conceptualize and develop innovative hardware, circuits, and software solutions, ensuring feasibility and efficiency.
  • Collaborate in design reviews, offering expertise in design for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Create and release engineering documentation, communicating with vendors to expedite design parts and assemblies.
  • Drive the design of AC/DC power distribution systems, including circuit breakers, power supplies, and cabling harnesses.
  • Develop, test, and document designs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and customer requirements.
  • Estimate product and project parameters, including power consumption, weight, size, and schedule.
  • Facilitate a seamless transition from engineering to production, collaborating with manufacturing and other organizations.
  • Interface with customers to understand technical requirements and propose quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues on-site, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Assist engineering management in developing schedules and specifications for new and legacy products.
  • Maintain cutting-edge technical knowledge and direct engineering and technical support personnel as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate, should have;

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience or Master's Degree with 3 years of experience in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of electrical systems, motion, temperature measurement, PID loops, and safety interlock circuits.
  • Design Experience: Dynamic electromechanical system design and proficiency in OrCAD, AutoCAD, PCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Safety Knowledge: NFPA, Semi Safety Requirements, and Machine safety.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English and effective communication skills.
