
Senior Project Manager
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the Asia Foil Project (AFP) installation efforts, ensuring successful completion within the defined schedule and budget. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional communication skills and a hands-on approach, who can work independently while effectively managing diverse indirect teams and stakeholders across various regions.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Manage the project in accordance with the current schedule, ensuring that all phases from installation to qualification of major equipment (SA2, RM2, PL1) are executed smoothly.
- Support all machinery mechanical installations related to the Asia Foil Project
- Ensure a safe operating environment according to local regulation for the duration of the project.
- Report on project Mile stones to senior management
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Coordinate installation activities with WSP, Danielli, Orca, OTE, Dress & Sommers, Qualified Person, and Wieland Global Engineering, as well as other internal and external suppliers.
- Supervision and discipline of internal and external stakeholders within the project implementation.
Equipment Qualification:
- Support the local team in the seamless qualification of key equipment and their associated facilities, including Rolling Mill 2, Stand Annealer 2, and Pickling Line 1.
Documentation Oversight:
- Ensure all relevant documentation related to the project is obtained, organized, and maintained for future reference.
Cultural Awareness:
- Understand and navigate the cultural nuances of various regions involved in the project (China, India, Malaysia, Germany, Italy) to facilitate smooth collaboration.
Daily Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure the smooth running of the AFP project, addressing any issues that arise efficiently.
Budget Management:
- Collaborate with finance, procurement and other related departments to ensure that the project remains within the approved budget, prioritizing functionality without compromise.
Site Management:
- Actively be present on-site to manage, coordinate, and troubleshoot during project execution.
Skills and Qualifications
- Min. Degree in Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, or proventrack record in similar position
- 5 years experience in similar position (preferably in the metal fabrication industry)
- Strong knowledge of equipment engineering, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate leadership qualities without direct oversight.
- Hands-on attitude with experience in site management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in managing complex projects with multiple moving parts.
- Proficiency in budget planning and financial forecasting.
