What the role is:You will work in Environmental Health Institute, and be a member in the Applied Entomology Department.What you will be working on:By joining the Insecticide Resistance Management Section, you will be involved in conducting basic maintenance of mosquito colonies and facility, actively participate in research projects and maintaining of simple database relevant to the job description above. You will be provided with comprehensive on-job-training which will build your competency in the role.What we are looking for:Requirements:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel and Word) for data recording.
  • Comfortable in handling mosquitoes and other insects for rearing and maintenance.
  • Able to follow and adhere to SOPs.
  • Capable of working independently and as a team in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Able to demonstrate attention to details in work.
  • Possess a positive attitude to learn new techniques and tools in line with work.
  • Preferably to hold a valid Class 3 driver's license as department shared vehicle may be available for field research work.
