Position Overview:
As a Family Engagement Specialist, the individual will be responsible for case-managing ISCOS/NeuGen families. The primary role will involve assessing the needs of ISCOS/NeuGen beneficiaries, which may include individuals, families, and children, and determining the necessary services to address those needs. They will develop and implement care plans accordingly. Additionally, the Family Engagement Specialist may be tasked with evaluating the effectiveness of the care plan and the provided services, ensuring the best possible support for beneficiaries.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct case intake, assess clients' needs, and provide appropriate assistance.

2. Offer support and resources to clients, establish strong working relationships with support networks, government agencies, and community resources.

3. Gather and review clients' documents.

4. Inform clients about and refer them to internal programs and services under ISCOS/NeuGen or other relevant agencies for assistance.

5. Monitor and support families in enhancing their resources and coping abilities in dealing with challenges.

6. Participate in case discussions with external agencies.

7. Attend case conferences, providing updates on cases to the Senior Asst Director of Programmes and Services, Deputy Director, and Executive Director.

8. Carry out regular home visits, phone calls, and messaging with clients.

9. Document case notes accurately and efficiently.

10. Perform any additional duties assigned by superiors to fulfil organizational needs.

Supervision Received:
Supervision is provided by the reporting supervisor. The position requires the ability to perform with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

1. At least a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work

2. Strong interpersonal communication abilities with individuals and systems at multi-levels

3. Enjoys working on a range of tasks and responsibilities related to direct work and service planning

Desired Skills and Competencies

1. Competencies in Casework, counselling, risk and crisis management, group work facilitation

2. Competencies in working with various formal systems and conduct case conferences

3. Good analytical skills

4. Passion to work with children, youths and their families

5. Commitment to the Code of Social Work Practice standards.

6. Demonstrate sound and updated professional knowledge and skills in social work

7. Relevant experience in working with individuals and families will be an advantage
