
Construction Manager
About the role
McConnell Dowell seeks a construction manager to support tenders and deliver work for our upcoming civil marine works project.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily project activities, ensuring work schedules meet delivery targets.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and authorities while maintaining strong relationships and a positive public image.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Manage subcontractors, plant resources, and material procurement.
- Lead and motivate the workforce to ensure efficient project execution, timely reporting, and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Promote a professional image and maintain a harmonious client relationship throughout the project.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have;
- Industry-relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Minimum 15 years of engineering experience in construction with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.
- Competent in understanding and promoting HS&E imperatives and MMS procedures.
- Proven record in planning, organizing and leading a diverse labor force.
- Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills, clear communication verbal and written.
- Manages to timeframes, cost-conscious, and achievement driven.
