
Workplace safety and health officer # Jurong island
Job Description:
· To assist Safety Manager on all safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters, to ensure the Project complies with its statutory obligations and safety requirements.
· To ensure the implementation and monitoring of appropriate safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
· To assist Safety Manager in liaising and co-ordinate with stakeholders, and other Consultants employed by Developer.
· To attend Main contractor’s daily toolbox briefings, conduct regular site safety inspections, and prepare report of observation and follow up on the rectification.
· To highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance.
· To familiarize with the risks and control measures related to each work activity.
· To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.
Requirement:
· At least 5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry preferably 3 years with developer/main contractor
· Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM and have been practicing as WSHO for at least 5 years
· Has developed a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent
· Good communication skills and team player
