FOOD PRODUCTION MANAGER
A Food Production Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of food production facilities. This position requires a mix of leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of food safety regulations and production processes. Food Production Manager Responsibilities & Duties
Supervise and manage food production staff
Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
Oversee production schedules and adjust as necessary
Coordinate with purchasing and supply chain departments to ensure timely availability of raw materials
Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities
Implement and maintain production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Train and develop staff on food safety and production best practices
Handle customer and client inquiries regarding production processes and timelines
Prepare and manage production budgets and reports
Monitor and maintain equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
Develop and implement quality control procedures
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Food Production Manager Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business Management, or related field
5+ years of experience in food production or a related industry
Strong understanding of HACCP and other food safety protocols
Experience in lean manufacturing practices
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Experience with inventory management systems
Advanced knowledge of production planning and scheduling software
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline
3-5 years of experience in food production management
Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to train and mentor staff
Understanding of inventory control and warehouse management
