Chinese Language Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

Chinese Language Teachers are responsible for planning and delivering comprehensive language lessons that adhere to the curriculum and effectively teach students the Chinese language, both written and spoken.

  • Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes and age groups
  • Preparing and setting tests, examination papers, and exercises to track student progress
  • Marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work
  • Devising, writing and producing new materials, including audio and visual resources
  • Teaching students about Chinese culture, history, and traditions to complement language learning
  • Managing classroom behavior to ensure a conducive learning environment
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development
  • Communicating with parents about students’ progress
  • Participating in education events, including workshops and field trips
  • Using a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
  • Staying up-to-date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum

The Chinese Language Teacher will be responsible for teaching students the Chinese language, both written and spoken, and introducing students to Chinese culture.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Chinese language and literature, a passion for teaching, and excellent communication and classroom management skills.
