Contract Period: 1 April 2025 – 31 March 2026
Working Hours:

  • Mondays to Fridays: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (inclusive of a paid 0.5-hour lunch break)
  • Rest Days: Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

Option to Extend:
The contract may be extended for one additional year at the discretion of the Authority, with terms and conditions remaining unchanged unless otherwise agreed.

Job Objective:

The Receptionist cum Admin Assistant will support the daily operations of Xinmin Secondary School’s General Office by performing a variety of administrative and reception duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reception Duties:Handle incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
    Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors at the reception counter.
  2. Administrative Tasks:Perform simple administrative work, such as data entry, document filing, and managing correspondence.
    Use Microsoft Office programs like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for basic tasks.
  3. Pupil-related Responsibilities:Contact parents of late-coming pupils daily.
    Attend to unwell pupils, ensuring they receive appropriate care.
  4. Other Duties:Support ad-hoc tasks and assignments delegated by the supervisor.
    Assist with school events and operations as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Possess a GCE ‘O’ Level certificate or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a school environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with school stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • An amicable personality with a positive attitude, drive, and enthusiasm.
