Contract Period: 25 March 2025 – 24 March 2026
Working Hours:
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM
- Rest Days: Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
- Note: No overtime required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Science Lab Support:
Lesson Preparation:
- Prepare materials and equipment for science lessons (P3 to P6).
- Set up materials for practical tests.
- Assist teachers during science lessons in the labs.
Equipment Management:
- Record loaning and breakage of materials.
- Conduct annual stock-taking of science lab materials.
- Check and clear faulty or unwanted equipment.
- Maintain equipment functionality and liaise with vendors for servicing.
Lab Maintenance:
- Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of the labs.
- Update displays in cabinets as needed.
- Disinfect labs as required.
2. Administrative Duties:
Science Lab Administration:
- Perform general administrative tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of the labs.
General Office Support:
- Provide administrative support in the General Office.
- Offer customer service at the reception counter, including attending to visitors, parents, staff, pupils, and vendors.
- Handle phone calls, record messages, and address walk-in inquiries.
- Assist with logistics such as packing items, preparing rooms for school functions, and shredding documents.
- Perform gate duties during school arrival, dismissal, and heavy traffic periods.
- Prepare and verify documents, maintain and update records, perform data entry, and handle filing tasks.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend to goods deliveries and escort contractors as required.
- Accompany pupils and teachers on Learning Journeys as needed.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal, Vice-Principal, HOD/Science, AM, or OMs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Qualifications:
- A Diploma from a recognised institution (qualifications in science-related fields preferred).
Experience:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a Ministry of Education (MOE) school setting.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in handling common lab equipment, such as microscopes, data loggers, etc.
Other Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with school stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage inventory and maintenance records effectively.
