- To generate and submit system design document, MOS, test plans and procedures according to the requirement of the allocated railway line.
- To coordinate with SWC and Civil contractor to for enabling of site-based installation, migration and implementation.
- To lead and implement site-based migration of allocated system.
- Perform test and commissioning tasks according to the test plan, record and analyze results, summarize in test reports, describe any issues, communicate with the system engineer, and close outstanding issues.
- Conduct first-level fault finding on electronic systems and report results and systemic issues.
- Identify and report any defects or variations of site based implementations.
- Report completion of the testing activities in line with the planned timeline and procedure.
- Ensure that "Best Practice" is adopted and that quality of workmanship is always maintained to the highest possible standards.
- To provide weekly and ad-hoc progress reports to the Manager along with liaising on all site related activities
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Experience with software and electronic tools; prior railway communication system experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with assembly and test tools (soldering, crimping tools, multimeters, oscilloscope).
- Ability to showcase positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Willing to work night/engineering hours (during railway maintenance shutdowns).
- Highly motivated team player which possesses analytical and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
