- Design and execute synthetic strategies to produce proprietary chemical compounds with high purity and yield.
- Optimize reaction conditions and purification techniques, including chromatography and crystallization.
- Characterize synthesized compounds using analytical techniques such as NMR, mass spectrometry, HPLC, and LC-MS.
- Maintain detailed documentation of synthetic protocols, compound properties, and experimental observations.
- Pharmacokinetics and Preclinical Studies
- Conduct pharmacokinetic (PK) studies to assess compound absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME).
- Prepare and analyze biological samples using LC-MS/MS and other relevant techniques.
- Collaborate with in vivo research teams to design and implement dosing regimens for animal experiments.
- Interpret PK data and contribute to the optimization of compound formulations for improved bioavailability.
- Scientific and Collaborative Coordination
- Organize and facilitate regular meetings with lab members to discuss research progress and troubleshoot experimental challenges.
- Coordinate collaborative efforts with internal and external research partners, ensuring smooth information flow and project alignment.
- Assist in managing research timelines, experimental priorities, and resource allocation for ongoing studies.
- Manuscript and Patent Drafting
- Lead and contribute to manuscript preparation, ensuring high-quality scientific writing for journal submissions.
- Assist in drafting patent applications to protect intellectual property arising from novel compounds and methodologies.
- Conduct literature reviews to support manuscript and patent development, positioning findings within the broader scientific landscape.
- Laboratory and Compliance Management
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines for chemical synthesis and animal experimentation.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, including reagents, solvents, and analytical consumables.
- Train and mentor junior researchers and students in chemical synthesis techniques and analytical methodologies.
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in organic synthesis, purification, and compound characterization techniques.
- Experience with pharmacokinetics studies and analytical methods such as LC-MS.
- Excellent scientific writing skills for publications and patents.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
