Our Client is renowned for its expertise in vessel conversions, particularly Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Manager to oversee and enhance our FPSO conversion projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Your Role

The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems for FPSO conversion projects. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in QA/QC practices within the maritime or oil & gas industry, capable of ensuring that all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards.

What You Ll Do

Quality Management System (QMS):
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) for FPSO conversion projects.
  • Ensure the QMS complies with local, national, and international standards and regulations.

Quality Assurance
  • Establish quality policies, procedures, and standards specific to FPSO conversion projects.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Identify and mitigate quality risks through proactive planning and implementation of corrective actions.

Quality Control
  • Oversee quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and verification of materials and processes.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet or exceed quality requirements and client expectations.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.

Documentation And Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and audit findings.
  • Prepare regular QA/QC performance reports for senior management and clients.
  • Ensure all quality records are properly archived and easily accessible for audits and reviews.

Training And Development
  • Develop and deliver QA/QC training programs for project staff and subcontractors.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the project team.

Collaboration And Communication
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all QA/QC matters with clients, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in QA/QC.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance quality performance and project outcomes.

What We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ CQE) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in QA/QC management within the maritime or oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in FPSO conversion projects.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using QA/QC management software and tools.
