Description
1. Operate assigned vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to traffic laws and regulations at all times.
2. Transport goods, materials, or equipment to designated locations according to schedules or instructions.
3. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, securing items safely for transport and ensuring even weight distribution.
4. Plan and follow designated routes or schedules, considering factors such as traffic conditions, road closures, and alternative routes.
5. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on assigned vehicles, including checking fluids, tire pressure, and brakes, and ensuring proper functioning of equipment.
6. Complete required paperwork, including delivery or pickup documentation, vehicle inspection reports, and mileage logs.
7. Maintain effective communication with dispatchers, supervisors, or other team members to report status updates, delays, or issues during transit.
8. Provide courteous and professional customer service when interacting with clients, suppliers, or site personnel during pickups and deliveries.
9. Respond appropriately to emergencies or accidents, including following emergency procedures, providing assistance, and reporting incidents to authorities and supervisors.
