Job Title: Patient Service Associate
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and customer-oriented Patient Service Associate to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative and frontline support to ensure a smooth and positive experience for patients and their families. Your duties will include patient registration, appointment scheduling, handling inquiries, and assisting with billing processes. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients with registration, appointments, and general inquiries.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the healthcare management system.
Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance details.
Handle phone and email inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Process billing and payment transactions, including insurance claims and invoices.
Assist patients with basic medical forms and direct them to the appropriate departments.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and service delivery.
Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
Manage administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
Address patient concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (Diploma in Healthcare Administration or related field is a plus).
Prior experience in customer service, healthcare, or administrative roles is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare management systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate, patient-oriented, and able to work well in a team.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
Full-time/Part-time position with flexible shifts.
May require working on weekends or public holidays depending on clinic or hospital needs.
