As The Infantory expands, we are hiring our first part-time Business Manager to oversee daily back end operations and ensure smooth business functions. The role has the potential to be converted to a full time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Administration
- Manage day-to-day office operations to ensure efficiency.
- Maintain office supplies, documentation, and workflow organization.
- Financial & Bookkeeping Support
- Handle basic bookkeeping, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and financial record management.
- Assist the founder with cost management and budgeting.
- Human Resource
- Recruit and schedule part-time staff for retail events.
- Maintain and manage part-time staff availability, working hours and payment.
- Sales Support & Logistics Management
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking.
- Handle backend logistics for online order fulfilment, ensuring timely packing and dispatch.
- Oversee packaging and shipping of orders with accuracy.
- Handle backend coordination for retail events, including inventory preparation, resource allocation and logistics.
- Organise packing and shipping of event-related materials.
- Ensure all necessary documentation and staffing schedules are in place.
- Customer Service
- Manage walk-in customers at the design studio, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
- Handle general customer concerns professionally.
- Any other adhoc business activities as required.
This role is perfect for someone organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a passion for managing operational tasks in a growing retail environment.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or higher in Business Administration, Operations Management, Retail Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in business operations, office administration, retail coordination, logistics, or a similar role.
- Strong communication skills – well-spoken and able to interact professionally with customers, suppliers, and team members.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented, with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to solve problems independently.
- Proficient in business software tools that can support daily business needs but not limited to i.e. Microsoft Office / Google Workspace / Any Bookkeeping Software / E-commerce or Logistics Management Tools
- Experience in basic bookkeeping is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the founder closely in business operations.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and hands-on environment where multitasking is required.
What We Offer:
- Part Time Schedule - Mon to Thu, 9-3pm
- 7 Days Annual Leave
