- Leading hands-on studio sessions that inspire students to tackle design projects with creativity and confidence.
- Crafting and delivering engaging lessons using diverse teaching methods and the latest technology to keep learning dynamic and exciting.
- Staying ahead of industry trends and shaping the curriculum to keep it cutting-edge.
- Supporting the diverse learning needs of students, offering tailored interventions that help them grow both academically and personally
- Conducting workshops and Continuing Education Training for adult learners, promoting lifelong learning and professional growth.
- Stay ahead by keeping up with the latest trends and engaging with industry communities.
- Collaborate with the course team to develop a forward-thinking, innovative curriculum.
- Create and deliver course materials that inspire students.
- Lead lectures, tutorials, and student consultations, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Tailor your teaching approach to individual students, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
- Develop and lead professional workshops and training programs for adult learners.
- Build industry partnerships and actively contribute to the broader school community.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your work across various interior spaces, furniture design, and more.
- Mastery of design tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, or Revit - bonus points for Adobe Creative Suite skills!
- Hands-on experience with fabrication and construction.
- Familiarity with workshop tools like 3D printers and laser cutters to bring designs to life.
- A solid understanding of design principles - ergonomics, sustainability, user-centred design.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for fostering a collaborative, creative classroom.
- Prior teaching experience is a plus, and generative AI knowledge will definitely give you an edge!
- At least 7 years of experience as an Interior Designer or Interior Architect in the built environment.
- A strong network within the interior design and built environment industries.
- Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D Studio Max (or similar).
- Expertise in lighting design to create impactful, thoughtful spatial experiences.
- Experience leading teams and/or managing a design practice.
- Knowledge of virtual/augmented reality and interdisciplinary design is a plus!
