We are seeking an officer ideally with a legal background to join our Legacy Gift team. The role involves securing legacy gifts (gifts realised upon the donor's passing) and managing relationships with legacy gift donors. The successful candidate will work closely with donors and their trusted advisors to facilitate legacy gifts to NUS.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote and secure legacy gifts, including conducting presentations to donors and their advisors.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with donors and their advisors by providing accurate and timely information on NUS's legacy gift options.
  • Ensure that the University's legacy gift options and procedures comply with the University's policies and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other DVO teams and NUS colleagues to achieve legacy gift goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and legacy gift commitments using the organization's CRM system.
  • Prepare regular reports on activities and outcomes for the Director of Development and the Board.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Law, Finance, or a related field; or a legal qualification.
  • Experience in a similar role within a non-profit or for-profit organization, or advisory practice in estate planning or charitable giving, is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning, tax laws, and charitable giving strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of donors and stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases/projects simultaneously.
