What the role is:The Industry & CUGE Division (Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology) of the National Parks Board oversees industry development, land and space planning and provision, and skills training for sectors under NParks' purview. These include landscaping, conservation/ecology, orchids, and fauna such as ornamental fish. Our goal is to uplift companies and individuals in these sectors by enhancing productivity, improving business operations, and raising the level of professionalism. We also aim to enable digitalisation and innovation within the industry.What you will be working on:You will be part of the team that develop space, buildings and infrastructure for nursery and farm plots. Duties will include: -
  • Project management for development contracts which include managing project budget, preparing and calling tenders and the management & coordination of surveyors, consultants, contractors and the relevant technical agencies.
  • Maintenance of state buildings, properties and farm plots
  • Carry out regular ground sensing and engagement with nurseries and farm i.e. site visits to obtain first-hand direct observations
What we are looking for:
  • Area of study in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate or other related fields of study
  • Good listening and interpersonal skills are essential as this position involves interacting with a wide range of industry stakeholders. Ability to speak Mandarin and dialects will be an advantage to engage stakeholders who may not be English speaking
  • Strong analytical, planning, organising and presentation skills
