Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant Manager will manage full set accounting and finance responsibilities supporting the Group of Emerging Markets (GEMs) business unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing full set accounting for the Singapore & Export Markets business
  • Prepare/review monthly financial reports (both Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet) to ensure reasonableness, minimize long outstanding items in the balance sheet (e.g. Accrued revenue / Accounts Receivables) and identify areas of optimization in the cost structure.
  • Responsible for month-end book closing and ensures that CO-PA report is complete.
  • Handle and resolve inter-company issues.
  • Review and submission of local GST/ corporate tax matters.
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget and forecast.
  • Manage the annual audit of the company.
  • Support and review monthly Country Sales Reviews, Gap closures and periodic forecasts.
  • Define/improve processes and internal controls and ensure compliance company policies and procedures.
  • Provide business support, highlight potential credit risk, tax exposure, cross border remittance issue and foreign exchange exposure.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivables collection to ensure overdue are minimized and timely collections are made to achieve optimized cash flow management.
  • Participate in process / SAP projects to identify areas for continual improvement; and
  • Undertake/assist in ad-hoc projects when necessary.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Senior Accountant/Assistant Finance Manager role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management
  • SAP ECC6 / S4 HANA experience a plus
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong MS Excel skill & tech savvy
