Job Summary:
The Content Executive will play a dual role, focusing both on managing content partnerships and editing a variety of content. You will work closely with external partners to establish and nurture relationships that bring mutual benefits, while also ensuring that all content is polished, aligned with our brand voice, and meets quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of content strategies, partnerships, and editing techniques to deliver engaging and optimised content for our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Partnership Management:
- Develop & Manage Partnerships: Identify and establish content partnerships with external organizations, influencers, or content creators that align with the company’s goals.
- Collaborate with Partners: Work closely with partners to co-create content, ensuring it aligns with both parties' objectives and resonates with the target audience.
- Partnership Strategy: Contribute to the development of content partnership strategies to drive engagement, expand reach, and increase brand visibility.
- Negotiation & Communication: Communicate effectively with external partners, ensuring clear expectations, timelines, and deliverables are met. Assist in contract discussions and negotiations where necessary.
- Monitor & Evaluate: Track and measure the success of content partnerships, providing regular reports and recommendations to improve future collaborations.
Content Editing:
- Edit & Proofread: Review and edit a wide range of content (articles, blog posts, social media, multimedia scripts, etc.) for grammar, clarity, tone, and overall quality, ensuring it aligns with the brand’s voice and guidelines.
- Optimize for SEO: Ensure content is optimized for SEO, integrating keywords, meta descriptions, and appropriate formatting to improve content visibility.
- Content Quality Control: Maintain high editorial standards by performing quality checks on content before publication or distribution.
- Collaboration with Content Creators: Work with writers, designers, and other content creators to ensure the final output is cohesive, engaging, and aligned with the overall strategy.
- Content Development: Help develop new content ideas that support business objectives, contribute to brainstorming sessions, and oversee content production from concept to final output.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Content Scheduling & Publishing: Assist in managing content calendars and ensuring timely publication of both internal and co-created content.
- Audience Insights: Analyse engagement and performance metrics from content partnerships and editorial output to inform strategy and optimize future content initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, content best practices, and partnership opportunities to enhance content strategies and partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years in content creation, partnership management, and/or editing in a digital media, marketing, or related role.
- Strong Editing Skills: Proven experience in editing and proofreading content for grammar, style, clarity, and accuracy.
- Partnership Management: Experience building and managing partnerships with external organizations, influencers, or content creators.
- SEO Knowledge: Understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them to content for search engine optimization.
- Content Strategy: Experience in developing and executing content strategies that drive engagement and meet business objectives.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and maintain professional relationships with partners.
- Project Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative & Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to think creatively while also using data to guide content decisions and partnership strategies.
- Educational Background: A degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with editing tools (Google Docs, etc.).
- Knowledge of multimedia content creation (videos, podcasts, graphics) is a plus.
