Overview
Financial Markets delivers a broad range of products to ING's corporate and institutional client base. ING’s Financial Markets division provides clients access to the major financial markets in developed and emerging countries, with specialists in Debt & Loan Capital Markets, Sales and Trading across all asset classes - Foreign Exchange, Rates, Credit, Financing, Equity Derivatives and Commodities.
We are looking for a candidate to fill the role responsible for Financial Institutions clients and originate deals, provide solutions to the clients, and execute. The candidate needs to be a team player with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- In this role, key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain business relationship with new and existing FI clients. Share both local/global revenue target and contribute to its growth
- Suggest business solutions to institutional clients in collaboration with local, regional & global product teams
- Work closely with FI relationship managers to broaden client base and increase share of wallet from the client
- Support colleagues to grow our ING Franchise
- Comply with Compliance rules to achieve high level of work ethic and professionalism
Person Specifications
- To be considered for this role, the applicant would ideally possess the following pre-requisites:
- Degree holder
- Relevant experience of 5-8 years in investor-facing environment in Financial Markets
- High level of self-motivation and takes ownership on initiatives with proactive mindset
- Eye for high quality and integrity standards
- Strong ability to manage client relationships
- Intensive knowledge on Credit and Fixed Income products in both primary and secondary markets.
- Strong network in originating private placements, CPs/CDs, and securitisations.
- Strong business origination skills
- Willingness to learn new Financial Markets products
- Strong team player who helps others to be successful
- High level of market sense to see the trends/flows in Financial Markets
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and confident; adaptable to ING culture and willingness to share knowledge and learn from others
Key Competencies
- Fluency in English
- Product knowledge in Credit and Fixed Income
- Demonstrate ability to originate revenue independently
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines
- Good analytical capabilities and presentation skills
- Structured investment products experience
- Legal documentation negotiations (GMRA, ISDA, CSA)
- Product knowledge in Repo, Structured Notes, Rates
- Existing relationship with SE Asia based financial institutions
