Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced middle manager to oversee our Marketing and Channel teams in Malaysia and Singapore. You will report to the CEO directly.

The role involves leading project launches and entering major channels ensuring alignment with our business goals and enhancing brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of Marketing/Channel Teams:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of professionals across Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Coordinate between teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members.

Channel Management:

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate new products into our modern trade channels
  • Work closely with social media team and brand team to launch new brands
  • Monitor and report on project progress, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and budgets and targets.

Major Event Management:

  • Organize and manage 1-3 major events annually, which could range from product launches to brand festivals
  • Handle team management of all aspects of event planning including venue selection, logistics, guest coordination, and media coverage.
  • Evaluate event outcomes to inform future strategies and improve engagement.

Setup of Malaysia team

  • Setup of the Malaysia office
  • Dealing with administrative setup and structural building of the Malaysia team
  • Work together with company team to grow the size of Malaysia team through recruitment and also maintain it through retention
  • Will be required to travel to KL offices

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: At least 3-5 years in a managerial role or otherwise
  • Project Management: Strong skills in project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Event Management: Previous experience in planning and executing large-scale events.
  • Cultural Competency: Ability to navigate and respect the cultural nuances of Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Malay or Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills to inspire, motivate, and manage a multicultural team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in the FMCG will be greatly appreciated
