Roles & Responsibilities:

  • In charge of shipping, storage and logistic optimization in fuel oil supply and trading;
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating and optimizing fuel oil blending and inventory management;
  • Be part of the ship chartering decision-making process of relevant oil products according to the company's chartering management system;
  • Responsible for checking and verifying trading book daily book positions and PnL to ensure they are correct;
  • Liaise with external counterparties to look for commercial opportunities and facilitate the company's physical purchase and sales channels;
  • Responsible for timely entry of the trade entry system/database (CXL), establishing the business database, putting forward optimization suggestions for the relevant business systems of the company, and maintaining the data during the operation of the system;
  • Assist to collection of trade receivables;
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of Trading.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Chemical Engineering/ Business Management/ related field or equivalent;
  • Min. 5 years working experience in fuel oil operation, blending & chartering;
  • Good understanding of refining economics, market and pricing structure in related Fuel oil trading;
  • Good ethics and professional conduct, and with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit;
  • Good organisational, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese languages (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking stakeholders verbally/ in writing as well as to prepare and proof-read English/Chinese official documents and presentations whenever appropriate).
