Job Description:
  • This position is for Office of Finance.
  • Compliance: Ensure invoices/ claims are processed in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance of Master Records: Ensure integrity of master data.
  • Data Analytics and Dashboarding: Analyse data to identify trends and/ or anomalies and prepare dashboards for reporting.
  • Reporting: Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all payable and expenditure entries are accurate and complete, with compliance to expenditure policies and regulations. Review the expenditures, audit schedules and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Governance: Manage queries from internal and external audit.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to pay vendors promptly and streamline the payable and payment process. Evaluate the monthly expenditures with relevant stakeholders to determine any actions to be taken.
  • Customer service: Provide customer support and ensure enquiries from internal and external stakeholders are resolved promptly.
  • Process Optimization: Analyse payable processes to identify areas for improvement and work with IT to develop solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Policy Review: Gather feedback and suggest refinements to policy to strengthen control.
  • System Implementation and Upgrades: Manage and participate in the planning and execution of system implementations and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Manage, coordinate and conduct UAT for new systems or features, ensuring they meet business requirements and function correctly before full deployment.
  • People Management: Manage and supervise a team.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accountancy, with at least 8 years of experience relevant working experience, preferably with CA qualifications.
  • Experience with system changes implementations and UAT.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial software and databases.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in any of the major accounting software (SAP, Oracle etc.).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interest in data management, RPA and data analytics.
  • Familiar with BI tools (e.g. Qlik sense, Power BI, Tableau, RPA) has an added advantage.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
