Our Team and Product

The Production Manager will oversee the production of Kacific's innovative motorized satellite antennas, ensuring efficient operations and the highest quality standards. This pivotal role involves managing production schedules, optimizing workflows, and leading the factory team in delivering our cutting-edge product.

This position is based in Singapore and reports to the EVP, Product Development.

Job Description

  • Plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the factory to ensure production targets and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, adjusting resources as necessary to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control processes, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
  • Manage and train factory staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor production metrics, including output, efficiency, and quality, and implement initiatives to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to address production issues and refine processes.
  • Manage factory resources, including materials, tools, and equipment, to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Lead efforts to maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to workplace health and safety guidelines.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment to prevent disruptions and extend operational life.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean manufacturing principles to optimize operations.
  • Report on factory performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in factory management, production management, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in industrial engineering, manufacturing, business management, or a relevant discipline.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of managing teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of production management tools, techniques, and metrics.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and safety standards.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proficiency in resource planning and scheduling software is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build collaboration across departments.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or related industries is a plus.
