- Responsible for the quality of Architectural work produced within the Department
- Involve in the resource planning, recruitment etc. to ensure correct balance of resources to meet the projected workload
- Support the development of the team – graduate recruitment & training, internal training, performance appraisals, implementing the Career & Competencies Framework
- Support proposal preparation, developing hours estimates and deliverables lists, writing project execution methodologies and preparing and leading proposals for architecturally led projects
- Improve the efficiency of the department's work processes
- Support business improvements via the AMF and coordinate input from the team and the development of the Architecture Service Delivery Platform
- Raising the profile of the Architectural Department by maintaining existing and developing new client relationships
- Ensure there is a good communication within the Department and develop positive morale and team spirit.
- Bachelor Degree in Architecture
- Registered Architect
- Minimum 15 years' relevant industry experience - Pharmaceutical/Biopharma/Food&Beverage
- Proven experience in design leadership of complex projects including master planning, concept design and project implementation
- Strong familiarity with planning, building control legislation and industry best practice
- Experience in business development and preparation of proposals
- Strong inter-personal, organizational, communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter and decision maker
- Commercial focus and a track record of managing projects and teams
- Good time management skills – ability to balance dual role, technical and managerial
