What the role is:You will support the Ministry's efforts in advancing value-driven care at the national level leveraging on health performance and cost utilisation data to generate “value” in healthcare - driving better patient outcomes, reducing inefficiencies, improving safety and optimising resource utilisation. The role entails leading a team to identify areas of national priority, collaborate with clinical and technical experts, and policy makers to define evidence-based care pathways and outcome measures; analysis of data trends and generate sound inferences; use of data visualisation tools, and engagements with hospital leaders and value/quality leads on recommendations to close gaps and raise quality and safety. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:1. Ensuring a systematic and holistic approach to evaluating healthcare interventions through Value-Driven Care methodology • Lead the development and implementation of value-driven care methodologies by working with clinicians and technical experts. • Develop standardised clinical care pathways, incorporating diagnostic and therapeutic milestones and its cost drivers. 2. Identifying or refining standardised outcome measures • Define or refine measurable clinical, process and cost outcomes aligned with developed clinical care pathways. 3. Identifying variations in clinical practice, processes and resource utilisation • Conduct detailed analysis to identify variations in clinical practice, adherence to pathways, patient outcomes and cost. • General insights on variation drivers and their impact on quality and cost • Translate variation analysis into actionable interventions. 4. Key Skills/Knowledge Require • Degree in any healthcare-related discipline. A medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) is an advantage. • At least 3 years' experience working in a clinical environment, including medical affairs • Additional qualifications in public health, health policy, epidemiology or health informatics is highly desirable. • Aptitude in healthcare data analysis and data analytics tools • Experience in conducting coding review or audits • Knowledge of using statistical/ data visualisation applications will be an advantage. • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.About Ministry of Health:The Ministry of Health's (MOH) vision is to champion a healthy nation with our people - to live well, live long and with peace of mind.
