What the role is:The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment.We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore's built environment.You will lead and manage the Corporate Communications team and be responsible for developing strategic communications framework to build positive reputation and mindshare for BCA and the built environment sector.The key responsibilities are:Develop and implement an organisation-wide strategic framework for communications which include identifying the comms priorities, objectives and narratives in line with organisation priorities to positively shape public perception of BCA and the built environment sectorOversee and lead the media management of BCA issues to ensure key messages are communicated effectively, including leading communication efforts during crises to protect BCA's reputationOversee the development and execution of various public campaigns, including industry branding, across different media platforms to convey key messages to target audiencesDirect the organisation's digital communications strategy to grow and strengthen its digital and social presenceMaintain and enhance the organisations' brand identity across all channelsManage the corporate communications team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve communication outcomesThe candidate should possess:At least 15 years of related work experience in leading and managing corporate communication functions such as media relations, marketing, digital and integrated communicationsAble to lead, develop and motivate team members to deliver desired resultsHave strong storytelling, writing and editing skillsUniversity degree, preferably in communications and marketing related fieldsAble to multi-task, manage tight timelines and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentA strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional and positive attitude towards work and learningGood understanding of the media landscape and good rapport with editors/journalistsAbout Building and Construction Authority:The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) is an agency under the Ministry of National Development, whose mission is to shape a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment.
