
Assistant Director, Tax
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a leading corporate solutions provider in the region, is looking for a highly analytical Assistant Director, Tax to lead tax advisory, compliance, and planning, ensuring regulatory adherence while optimizing client tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Tax Advisory & Client Management: Provide expert guidance on tax implications for mergers, acquisitions, and business expansions while ensuring compliance.
- Tax Planning & Optimization: Identify tax-saving opportunities, advise on incentives and grants, and develop tax-efficient strategies.
- Tax Compliance & Reporting: Oversee corporate tax, GST filings, and regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Transfer Pricing & Cross-Border Taxation: Develop strategies, conduct benchmarking studies, and mitigate risks related to international tax transactions.
- Risk & Regulatory Management: Implement tax risk frameworks, internal controls, and stay updated on evolving tax legislation.
- Audit & Dispute Resolution: Support clients in managing tax audits, disputes, and negotiations with tax authorities.
- Business Development & Growth: Identify opportunities for expanding tax services, cross-sell solutions, and engage in client networking.
- Thought Leadership & Industry Engagement: Publish tax-related insights, conduct seminars, and represent the firm in industry forums.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and train tax professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous learning.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with legal teams, regulators, and multinational clients to provide seamless tax solutions.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax; CPA, CA, or CTA qualification preferred.
- Min. 8–10 years of experience in corporate tax, transfer pricing, and international tax regulations, with strong compliance knowledge.
- Ability to optimize tax structures, provide tax planning insights, and advise on cross-border tax matters.
- Proven experience mentoring and managing tax professionals, fostering technical expertise and high performance.
- Strong relationship management, communication, and networking skills to drive tax advisory growth.
