Job Description:Details of the Division and Team:Project Finance (PF) is an investment desk focused on lending to asset owners in its core industries with a particular focus on the energy transition. PF distributes some of the risk it underwrites but also has a hold book of senior debt positions. PF is an integral part of the Trade Finance and Lending (TFL) platform within the Corporate Bank.Vice President (VP) in the TFL PF team will interact closely with others in Structuring, Syndication and Coverage teams in an intense and demanding environment. The primary duties and responsibilities would involve the focus on project financing in the infrastructure, energy and renewable sectors with a fundamentals-based background.This is an important role within the future growth of the Corporate Bank, Asia Pacific. The successful candidate will be required to:Interact with fellow PF personnel in evaluating new transactions sourced through a variety of channels, with a focus on assessing risks and profitability of each deal.Perform comprehensive due diligence of companies, including modeling, operations, industry background and potential marketing strategy.Build and run cash flow models for the purposes of deal analysis and forecasting, as well as constructing comparable for each particular transaction.Develop marketing materials and presentations used to solicit new transactions. The successful candidate will be required to lead a deal team of junior members providing leadership and direction.Lead and/or support the internal approvals process including interface with credit, integrity, legal and other teams as well as regional and senior managementPossess a strong understanding of the banks ESG targets and how these transactions can fit into those targetsYour skills and experience:At least 5-7 years of relevant Project Finance experience in the financing of private sector infrastructure (particularly project financing or PPPs) including hands-on experience in structuring loans, guarantees transactions, managing due diligence, financial modeling, mitigating credit and other risks, negotiating term sheets and finance documentation and related project (and corporate) finance activities.Specific and relevant working experience in Developed Markets and emerging market financing in Asia Pacific.Longstanding experience in structured or corporate finance.Solid background in capital markets, accounting, financial modelling and cash-flow analysisExcellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate effectively to managementTenacity, resilience, and aptitude for hard work including ability to travel at times"Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office.
