  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial matters, ensuring the company operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist to oversee legal matters for the Malaysia and Singapore office, including corporate transactions and operational support for key departments such as logistics.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to contracts, partnerships, and vendor agreements.
  3. Provide legal guidance and support to various internal departments on commercial legal matters, including sales, marketing, and procurement.
  4. Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  5. Liaise with external legal counsel as necessary.
  6. Maintain precedent agreements and other relevant databases.
  7. Assist and support corporate secretarial matters for group companies.
  8. Perform KYC/AML monitoring and conduct enhanced due diligence investigations, including escalations when necessary.
  9. Provide legal support on ad-hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

  1. A bachelor’s degree or above in law from a reputable university.
  2. Licensed to practice law; admission to the Bar in Singapore or another Commonwealth jurisdiction (preferably Malaysia) is preferred.
  3. A minimum of 3 years of relevant commercial legal experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  4. Strong understanding of relevant corporate, commercial, and financial regulations.
  5. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin is mandatory, proficiency in Malay is an advantage.
  6. Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, self-motivation, teamwork, clear communication, and strong problem-solving skills.
