  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

The ERS unit develops new risk transfer solutions for epidemic and pandemic risks for the private and public sector. Epidemic outbreaks of infectious diseases can impact companies, the economy and insurers' portfolios severely as the current COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates, once again.By better understanding and evaluating epidemic risk exposure we work on establishing a new insurance market segment. Munich Re's ERS team consists of experts from various fields (e.g. pricing, underwriting and epidemiology) and provides a one-stop shop for companies aiming at protecting themselves against the adverse effects of an epidemic outbreak or pandemic.Join us this Summer for our Structured Internship Program from May to August 2025. In addition to gaining valuable work experience alongside industry experts, you will also benefit from ongoing engagement, career development and networking activities.Your Role:
  • Support the Global Epidemic Risk Solutions team's (ERS) underwriting activities.
  • Collect and analyze loss information from various markets and business sectors.
  • Create pitch presentations for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Support project management and coordinate across teams, cooperation partners and clients.
  • Perform analyses of markets and key performance indicators of businesses.
  • Provide economic expertise for developing insurance solutions for private and public sector transactions.
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Analytics, Business, Economics or Communications is preferred.
  • Strong skillset in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Exhibits proactiveness, good attention to details and a keen attitude to learn.
  • Creative, ability to see ideas and concepts from different perspectives.
  • Work and collaborate within a team environment and ability to multi task.
  • Fluent in communications (both verbal and written business level)
