  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

The Paid Ads team was established in 2016 to provide an e-commerce advertising platform by relying on Shopee’s massive data. Our expertise covers data, high performance AI-based online services, distributed systems, machine learning algorithms, and ads business strategies. The team places a strong emphasis on technology and strives to achieve innovation.

Job Description
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the ads index pipeline system, which needs low-latency computation over large data sets.
  • Work on building and optimizing the search index for ads data.
  • Ensure the high availability and low latency of our ads event hub.
  • Support and improve the ads searching and recommendation services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and enhance existing ones.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and development environments.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable architecture.
  • Good understanding of databases and experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.

Good To Have
  • Internship experience or coursework related to data pipelines, ads systems, or backend development.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Redis, Kafka, ElasticSearch, and Etcd.
  • Understanding of high-concurrency and low-latency system design.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services.
