IT Application Support Analyst
We are currently partnering with a financial services firm and they are looking to hire an application support analyst to provide technical and procedural support, address incidents, manage outages, and facilitate day-to-day issue resolution.
The role requires close collaboration with infrastructure teams, service desk personnel, and broader IT functions. The successful candidate will also engage with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with technology solutions and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for trading and back-office platforms, catering to both internal and external clients.
- Deliver second- and third-line support to business users.
- Develop and deploy PowerShell scripts to enhance business processes.
- Conduct incident management in alignment with ITIL standards.
- Analyze and implement new systems, managing vendor upgrades and mandatory exchange changes.
- Facilitate technical onboarding of new clients and systems.
- Collaborate with business teams to communicate system changes effectively.
- Maintain and document processes, trading systems, and workflows to a high standard.
- Monitor workflow prioritization and task focus.
- Perform compliance audits, exchange reporting, and monthly transactional reporting.
- Assist consultative sales efforts and address technical client requirements.
- Adhere to company policies, risk management frameworks, and regulatory obligations.
- Promote operational excellence by actively identifying and escalating risks and compliance concerns.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems, including SQL and Oracle database knowledge.
- Financial services experience, ideally within banking or trading environments.
- Proven ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to dynamic conditions.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, incident, and change management processes.
- Solid understanding of trading lifecycle processes, including settlement of futures and OTC trades.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing exchange upgrades.
- Technical expertise in server-side systems such as TT, Stellar, Deltix, ATEO, IBM MQ, and ION Suite.
- Proficiency in FIX messaging protocol and market connectivity protocols across global markets.
- Experience with API/system onboarding and high-frequency trading platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
