GFTN organises convening forums, offers advisory services on innovation ecosystems, provides access to transformative digital platforms, and invests in technology startups with the potential for growth and positive social impact through its venture fund.

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the operations of the key GFTN Forums and products. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the projects, including strategy execution, content, operations, sales, marketing and team leadership, as well as financial oversight.

Strategic leadership and stakeholder management

  • Develop and execute the business strategy for each project in alignment with corporate objectives
  • Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive advantages to drive business expansion
  • Ensure regular reporting and communication with global leadership on country-specific progress, challenges, and opportunities

Project operations and team leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity and profitability
  • Monitor key business metrics, including revenue, expenses and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including content, operations, sales and marketing to drive project deliverables and to identify, troubleshoot and mitigate issues in the project

Business development and sales

  • Work closely with sales team to develop customer value propositions, sales decks and client-facing materials and to develop targeted strategies for customer acquisition and retention
  • Manage external subject matter consultants to ensure their effective contributions to each project, including managing any incentive schemes, contractual agreements and progress reports.

Financial oversight

  • Manage project P&L, budgeting and financial planning processes
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to budgetary guidelines
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or operational efficiency

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience of 5 years in event management, with a track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) is a plus.
  • Creative and critical thinking skills is a plus
