Roles and Responsibilities

  • Administer and troubleshoot Windows Servers, preferably Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012, and Windows Server 2003.
  • Install Windows servers with strong troubleshooting skills for Wintel systems, including system hardening and security measures.
  • Perform advanced administration of Windows Server, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and High Availability configurations.
  • Understand RAID configurations, assess the pros and cons of various RAID levels, and make informed decisions based on system requirements.
  • Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft clusters.
  • Work with various storage solutions, particularly for cluster configurations (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Manage SAN environments and storage space from a systems perspective (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Oversee file system and quota management.
  • Handle FTP and SFTP client-server models with experience in configuration and administration.
  • Install and implement VMware ESX servers, VMware Virtual Center, V-Motion, HA, DRS, and related VMware products such as VMware Workstation, VMware Converter, and VM backup solutions.
  • Provision, operate, and maintain systems running on AWS.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to identify and gather requirements to define solutions for AWS-based systems.
  • Expertise in AWS operations, deployment guidance, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience in application and data migration to AWS.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Experience: 5 - 8 years of system administration experience is mandatory.
  • Educational Qualification: Graduate in Engineering, Science, or Diploma in Computer Science.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Any two of the following – MCSE, VMware Certification.
  • Customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
