Job Responsibilities

  • Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
  • Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s sales success.
  • Meet budgets and ensure adherence.
  • Builds relationships with companies and individuals in order to maximize bookings.
  • Identifies new target accounts by prospecting and setting new meetings.
  • Prepares all special event contracts, charges the necessary deposits, and ensures deposits and full payments are received by the required deadlines.
  • Attend BEO meetings to go over event details and guests expectations.
  • Attends monthly networking mixers.
  • Attend 1 charity and 1 social event monthly.
  • Maintains strong relationships with concierges, past corporate groups, and organizations.
  • Establishes, develops and maintains positive business relationships.
  • Evaluates guests’ complaints and responds promptly and appropriately.
  • Follows up with each client after the event has taken place to obtain feedback –then documents comments for all future events.
  • Greets the client and introduces client to the Special Event Manager on duty.
  • Updates shared calendars with tentative and definite business.
  • Answers questions about ingredients, allergies, preparation, and description of the menu items.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the special event capabilities of all venues.
  • Continually exceeds sales by a 10% increase over the year/month before.
  • Be passionate about exhibiting gracious hospitality.
  • Analyze the event’s success and prepare post-mortem reports.
  • Develop internal marketing campaigns to promote sales of events and promotions for Marquee, Avenue, Lavo and Koma
  • Ensure activities comply with Marina Bay Sands internal policies and procedures, relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, legal demands and professional and ethical standards.
  • Create sales KPI’s for events.
Job Requirements

Education & Certification
  • Diploma/Degree in Social Media Management or Digital Technologies preferred.

Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in related field preferred.

Other Prerequisites
  • Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event sales management.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Possess problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • A team player with leadership skills
  • Have a well-groomed and professional appearance.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Willing to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and overnight, as well as on public holidays.
  • Able to perform tasks under pressure.
  • Strong administration, planning and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to be around loud noise and amplified music for extended periods at a time.
