Marketing and Business Development Manager
Zoku is a global software company headquartered in Singapore with a fully owned subsidiary Zoku Americas Inc. registered in the USA. Zoku delivers integrated commerce applications for the Retail, eCommerce, Wholesale Distribution, and Food and Beverage industries. The core team consists of resources with a wealth of experience in software, consulting, and business development.
About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. This role is only open to candidates who do not require employer sponsorship to work in Singapore. Candidates who need an Employment Pass or any other work visa under our company are not eligible to apply.
We are seeking a Business Development & Marketing Lead to drive growth through a combination of strategic marketing initiatives and proactive business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both business development and digital marketing, with the ability to develop and execute strategies that generate demand, acquire leads, and convert prospects into customers.
This position requires full-time commitment—moonlighting or external commitments that impact performance are not permitted. Occasional work outside of standard business hours may be required to support global initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Demand Generation
- Develop and execute data-driven marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, generate high-quality leads, and drive customer engagement.
- Plan and execute targeted outbound demand generation campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, email, and social media.
- Organize and manage marketing events, trade shows, webinars, and industry networking activities to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO, paid advertising, social media management, and content marketing, ensuring messaging aligns with company offerings.
- Create and manage high-quality content for websites, blogs, email campaigns, social media, and sales materials to drive engagement and lead conversion.
- Regularly update and optimize the company website to ensure accurate messaging, showcase current offerings, and improve SEO performance.
- Utilize marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, CRM platforms) to optimize lead nurturing and sales enablement.
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, leveraging both inbound and outbound strategies.
- Execute multi-channel outreach, including strategic prospecting (calls, LinkedIn, email, and events) to engage high-quality prospects.
- Research and identify potential clients and key decision-makers, leveraging tools such as Sales Navigator and CRM.
- Manage and optimize sales pipeline processes, ensuring leads progress effectively through the funnel.
- Cross-sell solutions to existing clients and develop strategic account-based sales approaches.
- Maintain CRM data accuracy, track prospect engagement, and ensure alignment with sales and marketing objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (regional sales, product, marketing, and leadership) to align strategies and maximize impact.
Other Responsibilities
- Utilize basic graphic design skills to create simple marketing assets (e.g., social media visuals, email templates, sales collateral).
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform strategy.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing and business development efforts.
- Provide regular reports on lead generation, campaign performance, and revenue impact.
- Manage schedules, contribute to proposal preparation, and take on additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceMust-Have
- Proven experience in selling global technology solutions.
- Minimum five years of experience in a software company, with a focus on business development and marketing for technology solutions, SaaS, CRM, ERP, or retail technology (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce).
- Hands-on experience with B2B marketing and sales automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a very strong command of the English language.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, SEO, and website content management.
- Demonstrated ability to write high-quality content for websites, blogs, email marketing, and social media.
- Strong experience in updating, managing, and optimizing company websites.
- Ability to develop and execute full-funnel sales and marketing strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Strong influencing skills and ability to engage prospects through multiple channels (calls, LinkedIn, events, email campaigns).
- Experience planning and executing marketing events, trade shows, and digital campaigns.
- Basic proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar) to create simple marketing assets.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
