We are seeking a skilled Technical / Heat Treatment Engineer to oversee material selection, processing, and heat treatment operations. The role involves ensuring materials meet performance standards, optimizing treatment processes, and troubleshooting material failures.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Selection & Specification:

  • Evaluate and recommend materials based on mechanical, thermal, and chemical requirements.
  • Work with design and production teams to ensure material compatibility with manufacturing processes.

Heat Treatment & Metallurgical Processes:

  • Develop and implement heat treatment processes such as annealing, quenching, tempering, carburizing, nitriding, and induction hardening.
  • Monitor heat treatment parameters to ensure compliance with industry standards (ASTM, ISO, NADCAP, etc.).
  • Conduct metallurgical testing (hardness, microstructure, tensile, impact, etc.).

Quality Control & Failure Analysis:

  • Perform metallurgical failure analysis and provide corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with material testing procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Work with QA/QC teams to resolve material defects and non-conformities.

Process Optimization & R&D:

  • Develop new materials and improve existing processes for better performance and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with R&D for advanced material technologies.

Technical Support & Documentation:

  • Prepare technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance to production teams and suppliers.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in heat treatment, metallurgy, or material engineering.
  • Knowledge of heat treatment equipment, furnaces, and metallurgy principles.
  • Proficiency in metallurgical testing and characterization techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ASTM, SAE, ISO, AMS, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $2,700.00 - $4,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Performance bonus

Work Location: In person
