RESPONSIBILITIES

Summary

We're on the lookout for a proactive and driven Junior Chartering Executive to join our dynamic and fast-paced team! In this exciting role, you'll dive into the world of chartering, supporting key operations like coordinating vessel marketing, negotiating fixtures, and building lasting relationships with customers. Your insights will be crucial as you manage data, analyze market trends, and contribute to crafting smart chartering strategies that drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain databases, records, and quantitative analyses to support project management and investment decisions
  • Contribute to the development of the quality management system and drive continuous improvement in departmental procedures
  • Track market trends and assist in identifying new business opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations
  • Provide support in preparing accurate, timely, and relevant reporting for designated vessels
  • Assist in coordinating the marketing of company tonnage to assigned customers
  • Support the negotiate spot fixtures and time charters to optimize returns
  • Assist in maintaining and expanding customer relationships
  • Collaborate with the Technical, Fleet, and Operations teams to address pre- and post-fixture issues
  • Uphold the company's Health, Safety, and Environment policy in all activities


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Shipping, Trade, Finance, or an equivalent field
  • 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a junior role in the maritime industry.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to evaluate shipping performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize operational efficiency
  • Self-driven and results oriented.
  • Ability to synthesise and present information to support decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a multi-cultural team environment
  • Ability to work in a systematic and organized manner
  • Consistently work in a precise and accurate manner
  • Capable of working with and analyzing detailed information
