- Update the ship’s log as required by maritime regulations and company policies.
Crew Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the entire crew to ensure smooth and efficient vessel operations.
- Participate in crew meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional maritime training or certification is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a maritime role, especially in navigation or deck operations, is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Valid maritime certifications as required by local and international regulations (e.g., STCW certification).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of navigation principles and maritime safety.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily performed on board vessels, often in varying weather conditions.
- Requires flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing manual tasks.
