Key Responsibilities
Finance:
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for event operations, supplier payments, and overhead expenses.
- Develop rolling cash flow forecasts, predicting inflows and outflows based on event timelines and client payments.
- Improve receivables collection, negotiate vendor payment terms, and manage advances efficiently.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) including journal entries, accounts receivable, and accounts payable in compliance with IFRS accounting standards.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Review and ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliation schedules are completed on time, addressing long-outstanding items promptly.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for audits, tax filings, and compliance matters.
- Liaise with bankers regarding all banking-related matters.
- Lead the finance executive team to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Handle quarterly GST submissions.
- Work closely with sales teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Provide leadership with financial insights on profitability, revenue growth, and cash flow strategies.
- Handle inter-company billings and transactions.
- Prepare the annual budget for stakeholders' review.
- Maintain and update the fixed assets listing.
- Undertake any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superiors.
HR:
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Manage and support the application process for grants.
- Coordinate the creation and maintenance of policies, employee handbooks, work structures, job descriptions, and position descriptions.
- Address employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring fair and effective resolution.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and industry practices in HR daily operations.
- Execute HR processes related to rewards, retention, engagement, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Assist with the end-to-end talent acquisition process across all organizational levels.
- Facilitate the onboarding and orientation process for new hires.
Administration:
- Oversee office operations to maintain a productive and comfortable working environment.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the event management industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and SAP B1 accounting software.
- Strong understanding of HR functions, with experience in managing the full spectrum of human resource management and office administration processes.
- Experience in the infotech industry is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
Job summary: This position supports Finance, HR & Admin department and responsible for day-to-day operation of the company, allowing exposure to Finance and HR.
