Purpose and Scope
The HSE team place a vital role in ensuring the Health and Safety aspects on site targeting at zero incidents. In addition, they ensure that the environment on site is adhered to the highest standard.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the HSE Officer in the management and implementation of the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) management system
- Conduct inspections to identify any non-compliances in the worksite and raise reports on follow-up actions including monitoring the compliance of such actions
- Plan, coordinate and conduct HSE training programs, campaigns, emergency drills and other HSE related activities.
- Advise, assist with the development of risk assessments, safe work procedures and other related HSE documentation.
- Maintain records of HSE documentation (e.g., inspection reports, training records, incident investigation reports, etc.).
- Measure and monitor project HSE performance.
- Facilitate incident investigation with the project team
- Work closely with project team and provide advice on HSE matters
- Any other ad-hoc matters assigned by Management
Qualification, Skills and Experience
- WSQ Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health or Certificate in Safety Coordinator Training Course
- Relevant Safety & Health Certificates, including Lifting Supervisor, Confined Space Assessor, etc.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
- Familiar with risk management procedures
- Familiar with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
- Familiar with MS Office applications
- Familiar in working with computing devices like computers and mobile phones
- Possess a strong sense of responsibility towards Company and staff’s health and safety
- Good communication skills
