As an Account Manager / Sales Engineer at Molex, your primary purpose will be to lead strategic efforts to grow profitable sales with the customer. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies at the account level, managing existing business, identifying growth opportunities, and exceeding annual sales goals while establishing and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally.
Our Team
You will be part of the Molex team based in Singapore, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. This role involves collaboration with various teams including Customers, Regional Sales, Sales Planning, and other internal entities such as CGA, RPM, Satellite PM, GPM, Demand Planning, MQA, and CSR to drive the business forward.
What You Will Do
- Establish strong relationships at all organizational levels globally within the customer base, including technical engineering, commercial, and operational contacts, understanding their processes, business drivers, and organizational models.
- Develop and drive a proactive account strategy for profitable revenue growth within customers and ecosystem partners.
- Create, manage, and close an opportunity pipeline, managed in Salesforce, demonstrating a path to business growth.
- Provide an aggressive service model to meet and exceed customer expectations, solving qualified customer problems efficiently.
- Maintain a technical curiosity that enhances understanding of customer applications, market trends, standards, and regulations.
- Possess a collaborative team approach with excellent communication skills, interfacing with various internal and external customer contact levels.
- Partner with corporate contracts and negotiations groups to finalize customer agreements, including negotiating pricing and discounts.
- Apply thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with government laws.
- Manage account strategy in a global matrix organization by leveraging support from multiple sales personnel and business units.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Travel to customers as needed.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 2+ years of sales/marketing experience in commercial roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship building and influence.
- Effective written and oral communication skills for clear idea expression and information exchange.
- Proactive, well-organized with business acumen, familiar with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Several years of prior experience in commercial roles within the electronics industry, contract manufacturing, consumer products, or healthcare.
- Previous experience in the electronics industry, particularly in consumer or medical markets.
- Demonstrated existing relationships with key executives within the electronics industry.
- Financial skills with understanding of Profit &Loss and Balance Sheets.
- Knowledge of product development, contract manufacturing, and associated processes.
