Responsibilities:

Fleet Operations Management:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate vehicle dispatch for deliveries to ensure timely distribution.
  • Monitor fleet movements and adjust schedules in real-time to optimize routes and delivery efficiency.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet utilization, on-time deliveries, and fuel efficiency.

Driver Coordination & Compliance:

  • Assign delivery routes to drivers and ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver schedules, hours of service, and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings and training sessions for drivers.

Fleet Maintenance & Compliance:

  • Ensure all vehicles undergo regular inspections, servicing, and maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
  • Monitor vehicle registrations, insurance, permits, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with mechanics and external service providers for repairs and maintenance.

Logistics & Communication:

  • Serve as the main point of contact between warehouse teams, drivers, and customers regarding delivery updates and issues.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints related to deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Use fleet management software and GPS tracking systems to monitor vehicle locations and optimize routes.

Cost Control & Efficiency Improvement:

  • Monitor fuel usage and implement cost-saving measures to improve fleet efficiency.
  • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for reducing transportation costs.
  • Work with procurement teams to source vehicles, spare parts, and fuel at competitive rates.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate logs and records of fleet operations, incidents, and maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare reports on fleet performance, expenses, and compliance for management review.
  • Ensure proper documentation of invoices, delivery notes, and driver logs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in fleet coordination, logistics, or transportation management.
  • Strong understanding of fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and routing software.
  • Knowledge of transportation laws, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and logistics software.
  • Able to work 5.5 days workweek

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $3,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month
